My heart sighs…I love newborns.  I know I’ve said it before, probably every time I post a newborn peek, but I can’t help myself.  Let’s start with his hair, he’s got quite a bit for a little guy.  Then there is his squishy little cheeks.  Not to mention his adorable little nose.  He was such a great sleeper and I could have stayed with him all day. <3

newborn twins | Macomb County newborn photographer

This was my very first newborn twin session and it was wonderful. These little guys were so sweet and already could see personality.  One twin liked to cuddle, the other not as much.  One slept great, the other one fought with every ounce of his little being to stay awake so he could keep an eye one what was happening.  After spending time with a newborn I always get baby fever and no surprise, I now have it bad! :)  Congratulations S and D on these two little additions to your already beautiful family.

sweet cheeks | Royal Oak newborn photograhper

I just love baby cheeks, pure sweetness.  I couldn’t get enough of this little man.  I even threatened to steal him but since his parents know where I live, it wouldn’t do me any good.  He was an absolute dream to photograph but I do have to say I’m pretty sure he has a stubborn streak.  My very first shot of him he flipped me the bird, no kidding!  And I tried to gently move his one hand a couple of times and was de-nied, even in a deep sleep.  Thank you Jeff and Katie for trusting me to capture Little G in all his newness and freshness, it was truly my pleasure.

When I asked mom if there was anything special she wanted to include in our session, she mentioned that dad loved to hunt and had some antlers they wanted to bring.  I loved the idea, it was a great way to personalize their session.  I also really love the final result.  This little future hunter was the best little boy.  He was so sweet, totally had me yearning for another one of my own.  I love newborns, I love their peeling skin, the sweet little noises and even the newborn cry, sigh…this one is probably hitting me harder because my baby turns 4 tomorrow.  Ok, back to this little man.  He stole my heart and his parents are two of the nicest people.  Thank you for letting me capture this special time.

newborn casting call!! {Michigan newborn photographer}

Posted on February 26, 2010

Recently I attended a workshop where I spent time watching two amazing newborn photographers, Carrie Sandoval and Brittany Woodall of Baby As Art, in action.   I was so inspired I decided to do a newborn casting call to put what I learned into action.  During the months of March and April I’m looking to photograph 4 newborns between the ages of 5 to 10 days.  If you or someone you know is due during that timeframe and is interested in a newborn casting call session, please contact the studio for more information.
