Oh my! These girls are so beautiful and so fun and so different from one another. I’m always fascinated by the differences in my own kids so I don’t know why I’m surprised when I see other siblings so different. Big sister is sweet and fun and doesn’t she have the cutest hair?! And I just love her Matilda Jane dress! If you have a little girl, you have to check out Matilda Jane! Then there are her twin baby sisters. When I first met the twins, Miss I really only wanted mommy and Miss O was super easy going and came right to me. But when I got out the camera Miss I came alive with big smiles, showing off her amazing dimples (as long as I didn’t get too close) and Miss O…well she still didn’t mind if I came close but she stayed pretty serious.
Gorgeous gorgeous girls!!

Could they be any more beautiful? They seriously take my breath away. I keep leaning on their mom to have another because I selfishly would love to add a girl to the mix. ;) And they are both so incredibly sweet too. They both love water but the little guy is a bit of an Evil Knievel. Most of us have trouble getting our kids hair washed at this age without screaming and this guy just kept putting his face right in the water. By the end of this session we all had sand between our toes and most everyone, including mom, was soaked to the bone but it was worth it. The boys (and lets face it, me) had a blast.
**tip of the week, if your cell phone gets wet because you ran into the water to scoop up your too daring son, put it in a jar of rice overnight and it will most likely be fine

stays together

Ok seriously, they are so adorable! They have such fun personalities.

The whole family is wonderful. These children are some of the sweetest and most well behaved children I have ever met. I think mom and dad need to have a summer camp where we can all send our children to come back as sweet as theirs, are you guys game? lol

How lucky is she to have 3 older brothers to look after her?! Well she might not think so when she starts dating…

Meet handsome…

and handsome.

L and E, you really have a wonderful family and it was truly my pleasure photographing you all. xoxo

sweet cheeks | Royal Oak newborn photograhper

I just love baby cheeks, pure sweetness. I couldn’t get enough of this little man. I even threatened to steal him but since his parents know where I live, it wouldn’t do me any good. He was an absolute dream to photograph but I do have to say I’m pretty sure he has a stubborn streak. My very first shot of him he flipped me the bird, no kidding! And I tried to gently move his one hand a couple of times and was de-nied, even in a deep sleep. Thank you Jeff and Katie for trusting me to capture Little G in all his newness and freshness, it was truly my pleasure.

I have to say that I am always honored and thankful when people chose me to capture their family. In this case I am honored beyond words because these are the children of another photographer. I couldn’t have been happier when Ms. Wendie asked me to capture her little one for his one year old session in my studio. I had met his older sister before so I figured I was in for a treat and he did not disappoint. Mr. O is oh so adorable, happy and energetic. I just couldn’t get enough of his curl or his beautiful blue eyes or his happy, always present smile. His big sister is just as adorable and one of the sweetest little girls I’ve ever met. Thank you Wendie, it was a true pleasure spending some time with you and your kiddos.

the faces of yin and yang | Macomb County Child Photographer

I know I show a lot of serious faces because I love them so…but I also love a big contagious smile. When I was editing these I just kept thinking about the yin and yang of it. This little guy is the baby brother to Mr. Whoopie Cushion. They are both so handsome! Thank you mom and g-mama for all your sweat and participation, it was well worth it!

whoopie cushion that is! This little man came along for his baby brother’s session and we only hoped to get one image with the two of them. He wasn’t really feeling it so mom got out a whoopie cushion and this is the hilarity that ensued! Yes, he’s actually sitting on the whoopie cushion in this one
I love it so much I just ordered it for my studio. I love this pano crop and for the studio I ordered it 15×30 and can’t wait to get it up on my wall.

and a sweetie too! When they walked into the studio mom said she is a bit shy around people. Sure enough, I said hello and she busted into tears. But within minutes she stopped and decided I wasn’t bad after all.
Her big sister is gorgeous. I caught her in one single serene moment. Both the girls have big, beautiful, to die for eyes.

the one who…{Michigan child photographer}

loves the snow. My daughters are so different from each other both in looks and personality. This is the younger of the two and she loves all things winter. Last year she went sledding on the coldest day of winter and did not want to stop. Everyone else was huddled in the car but not Ms. Winter. On the other hand, sweaty summers are not her thing, well unless she can constantly be in the water then she’s good.

This is the one that loves summer. She tolerates play dates in the snow but only if hot chocolate is promised. I can relate to that. A few minutes in the snow for an excuse to sip some hot chocolate is right up my alley.

I’ve got a lot of catching up to do here on the blog. Check back as I’ll be announcing some special events over the next few weeks, including a new born casting call. So if you or anyone you know is having a baby soon, watch for details later this week. Hope everyone is having a great week!

models {Michigan child photographer}

I know, a long absence from blogging. I’ve been recovering from the holidays. January is my month of recuperation.
These two children are so adorable. They may not have an actual modeling job, but my camera loves them! Miss A really enjoys our time together and works it and her brother…well he puts up with me, he is a boy after all
These images are from my holiday mini sessions so they were only in my studio for 30 minutes and I could have probably shown 50 images ~ the kids are that amazing! You may recognize this beauty from the splash page on my website. Speaking of my website, I just launched it, newly designed with lots of new images. Check it out!

I’m helping their mom design a wall for above their fire place. One of the options she’s considering is a canvas cluster and it looks so great I wanted to share. Sometimes the absence of frames is a beautiful thing. This configuration has a 16×20 or the middle image, 2 11×14’s and 2 10×10’s.
