spec~tacular! {Michigan child photographer}

So today was a big day in the Muskovin house for our youngest member (in all honesty, it was a big day for his mamma too but I’m trying to be a trooper). Last month we were visiting family in North Carolina and both my aunt and my uncle (who both have careers in the eye profession) pointed out that my little man seemed to have a “lazy eye.” So I scheduled an appointment with a pediatric ophthalmologist. Today was that appointment. My little man was an absolute trooper. After a few hours of eye tests and dilation we were told that he is farsighted and that is causing him to be cross eyed. He will be wearing glasses to hopefully correct his vision. After 6 weeks he’ll be re-evaluated and if that time he is progressing, he will have to also wear an eye patch to help strengthen the muscles in the weaker eye. After several hours of searching for just the right pair of specs to adorn his perfect little face, the 3 of us (dad had a say too, which is why the brand of his glasses is Converse “to match his shoes”) found just the right pair. My little man wore them all evening and commented several times that he could “see.” Although my heart aches at this small obstacle in his young life, it swelled huge each time his little face peered at me and grinned with his new accessory. <3

Oh K, He looks absolutey adorable! I love the way he’s pushing the glasses up in the first image, looks like he’s been wearing them all along. I’m glad he can see now
Hey Krista – He looks absolutely adorable – but he always does.
Awesome. He looks like a criminal defense attorney. By the way, is he pushing up his glasses with his middle finger? what he saying to the photographer? Ha ha
SO cute!!!!!! Patching works great to strengthen his ocular muscles! I have worked with many children with great outcomes! He will probably love playing pirate!
aww… he’s adorable in his new glasses!
Awwww- those glasses are perfect- he looks soooo cute!
