OMG I had a blast with Alex and her twin sister Emily during their senior session.  So many times their relationship reminded me of my girls and it made me happy.  I can’t get over how much Alex looks like Bella Swan, soooo pretty!!  And Alex, you get your peek first because Emily made you go first during our session and you were such a good sport about it. ;)  But not to worry Emily, yours will be up later tonight.  Swoon girl, you are gorgeous!!

Love Child ~ children’s clothing store | Royal Oak, Michigan

Posted on September 14, 2011

Last night I had another awesome photo shoot with the kids from Love Child.  I love these kids, they are so cool and really rock out the hip, edgy clothes.  I really wish some of this stuff came in my size!  I guess I’ll just have to settle with dressing my kids in them.  Go check them out, they are in downtown Royal Oak and have wonderful customer service!!

While I was shooting, I meet Molly and her daughter Kelly.  Check out the bracelets Kelly is wearing.  Not only are they cool but they are for a great cause,  the Lucky Fin Project, which raises awareness and celebrates children and individuals born with symbrachydactyly or limb differences. Check it out to learn more about Molly and her daughter Ryan.  While you are visiting the Lucky Fin Project, be sure to vote for Molly, she’s been nominated for Moms who are Changing the World!!

TIFFANY!!! Oh lady, you are AWESOME!!  I loved loved your session!!  When I help a senior pick a location I always try to get a sense of their personality.  Tiffany is feminine without being girly, she’s beauty with an edge.  So we decided on an urban location and it was absolutely perfect!  I hope you have an awesome year Tiffany!  And congratulations on being on Court!!

cute cousins | Michigan children’s photographer

Posted on September 8, 2011

Adorable!!  These three are cousins and when they showed up for their session together I couldn’t believe how stinkin’ cute they all are.  I was warned right from the beginning that the little man wasn’t into smiling.  I tried but he wasn’t haven’t it.  He just watched me and my tricks with this sort of look of mild amusement.  Next time little man, next time. =)

This little one acted all shy when she first showed up but it didn’t take her too long to warm up and start rockin’ the poses.

Cheeks, eyes and lips, need I say more? She’s perfect!

One of the reasons I decided to move from lovely Los Angeles (which I still long for) to Michigan was my brother and my sister-in-law had my first nephew and I couldn’t stand the thought of not knowing him.   He’s now 11 and is such a character.  Every once in a while I remind him he’s the reason I live here now ;)  A few weeks ago he welcomed his third sibling, my third nephew, and I was fortunate to have been present for his birth.  I have no words to describe the experience besides to say that it was breathtakingly beautiful.  Recently I took the opportunity grab a few shots of him with his momma.  Congratulations on the newest addition to a wonderful family.  I’m so excited to watch him grow! xoxo

I have photographed the best seniors this year!  Chelsea is amazing.  She is the perfect beautiful, smart, fun, sweet, girl next door (too many adjective? lol).  Not to mention my girls think she’s the coolest because she works at their favorite clothing store.  They were even more excited to see her in action when we visited the mall this weekend.    I’m sure, Chelsea, it has made your day to know that you are a hero to a 7 and 9 year old ;)  By the way, love the flower!!  It was awesome to meet you Chelsea, have a wonderful senior year!

Whoa!!!  Need I say more about this knock out beauty?!  She’s incredibly sweet too.  Her  sister was a senior last year and I loved hearing they are the best of friends.  I hope my girls always think of each other that way!  Loved meeting you Jill, enjoy your senior year!!  PS, don’t you think she resembles Allison Sweeney?
