hellooooo gorgeous | Michigan senior photographer

So its no secret that I’m terrified for my girls to become teenagers.  I’m convinced that teenagers in general will all be like I was, moody, overly emotional, defiant (yes mom I know, that’s putting it mildly) but very frequently I meet senior who put my fears to rest.  They are often sweet, smart, kind and have their head on their shoulders properly, just like Miss J.  I will be proud if my girls grow up to be like this beautiful lady.  And if they don’t, I’ll just lock them in the basement!  Joking!! =)

baby love | Macomb County newborn photographer

I think its absolutely amazing how we are given the gift to instantly fall in love with a child that isn’t ours.  I find myself constantly falling in love with my little clients and this little guy was no exception.  It got me thinking how nice it would be to add a baby to my family without going through nine months of pregnancy.  Then I wondered if I brought him home if I could take him back for diaper changes and late night feedings…  I guess that would be like having my cake and eating it too.  A girl can dream. =)

Hello again! Its been awhile!

Posted on March 1, 2011

I’ve missed blogging!  Well after a few months off for knee surgery and physical therapy to assure a full recovery I’m back and so happy.  In the fall I embarrassed myself by forgetting I wasn’t 20 any more and jumped off a short wall and injured my knee.  I had surgery to stitch my torn meniscus and tighten my ACL.  According to my surgeon there was a bit a clean up due to years of abuse so I ended up on crutches for 4 weeks.  The longest 4 weeks ever!  Thankfully my creative mind was not wasted as I did come up with some ingenious ways to carry things and get around.  Right around Christmas I started physical therapy and I’m happy to say my knee is better than ever!  So I started back to work last week and already have a few blog posts to catch up on.

My first session of the year was Mr. T.  I’ve been photographing him since he was one and it has been a joy to watch him grow.  He’s so sweet and adorable.  He just turned 4 and his personality really emerged since I last saw him.  He was totally into getting his picture taken.  He showed me how talented he is by being able to roll his tongue, not something everyone can do.

Thanks T for rockin’ out a fun session!!

Next up, an adorable newborn (aren’t they all?), a 7 month old with awesome hair and a really cool family that owns a local business you are going to want to visit!
