Adalynn | newborn photographer, Michigan

Posted on January 6, 2012

It’s true, I fall in love with every single baby I photograph.  Adalynn was amazing.  So sweet and sleepy.  I love her <3.  I normally don’t do big showcases on my blog but I’m going to make an exception just this one time ;)  I love that she smiled, often.

I have to thank my friend, April Todd, for her help with this session.  Newborn sessions are not easy.  They take patience and often, a lot of help.  My first priority is always the babies safety and comfort, and that’s when having April allows me to capture the trickier poses.  Thanks Apes, you are the best!! xo

I know, it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged.  This time of year is crazy and blogging ends up way down the list!!  But things are slowing down enough that I can sneak in a few catch up posts.  It’s no secrete I love me some BIG personalities and this little guy did not disappoint!!  He has more charisma in his pinky then anyone else I know.  He’s smart and spunky and adorable!!  I love his hair.  It made me miss my little guy’s hair because he likes his short now :(

Expect more catch up post and possibly a contest!!

fall family fun | Sterling Heights Family Photographer

Another family I love watching grow every year!  I cannot say enough how much I enjoy seeing how the kids have grown, how their personalities are developing.  Thank you C & J for letting me be that bug on the wall that captures your family.  It was such a beautiful fall day, the light was gorgeous you guys were full of fun and love.

I seem to bring out the Rock-n-Roll in kids lately…

Brothers | Clinton Twp Family Photographer

I’ve been photographing this family for a few years now and it was so fun to see that Jackson is finally old enough that they really play together.  Lisa and I held out for weeks for a good fall weather day and luckily, at what seem to be the last moment, a beautiful day presented itself.  Usually Go Mama (grandma) is along on these sessions and she gets to jump in a few pictures but sadly we missed her this time.  BUT their wonderful uncle surprised them by joining us at the park.  Their little faces lit up and off they went, chasing and throwing leaves at him.  I’m am thankful for both he and Lisa because sometimes it takes a village and their help made the session wonderful!

I had so much fun with Sara and her sister Paula!  I am proud to say that I climbed a tree for this first image and did.not.fall.  Those of you who know me or who have had a session with me know that I tend to knock myself around a bit so I was way nervous.  I know I looked like a fool too because a few stray people were watching and umm, smiling.  Whatever!  It was awesome to meet Sara as I had photographed her sister, Paula, for her senior pictures a few years ago and I run into her mom around town.  Sara, you are awesome, fun and beautiful!!  Good luck this year Sara!!

Family | Los Angeles family photographer

Earlier this month I traveled to Southern California to photograph the wedding Annette and Ed.  I was so honored to witness Annette’s story with Ed come full circle.  I first met Annette several years ago when she wanted to have some pictures taken for her boyfriend, Ed.  Throughout the years I have done family pictures for her and her children and most recently her daughter’s senior pictures.  I cannot tell you how thrilled and honored I was to photograph her wedding (that’s another blog post).  We also did a family session only missing Annette’s son, Alex, due to his homecoming game.  It was my first opportunity to meet Ed and his sons and immediately I could see why Annette fell in love with him.  He is so full of love and laughter and his boys have his same sense of mischief.  The day of our session was just a wee bit windy…

Handsome Adam.  Now I’m sure I’ve just embarrassed him, but he is =)  I adore is smile.  The last time I saw him he was a video game totting kid and now…he’s a really cool guy.  Have a great senior year Adam!!

Ok, Lauren has the perfect hair.  Gorgeous color you really can’t buy (I know, I’ve tried one too many times) not to mention thick and bouncy.  Total Breck Girl (I may be dating myself a bit).  The weather was amazing and so were the leaves.  I really wish that part of fall lasted longer.  Lauren, I had so much fun and I can’t wait to show you the rest of your images!!

Roni | Fenton, MI newborn photographer

Posted on October 6, 2011

Warning…I’m going to gush…she is so PERFECT!!!  So tiny and absolutely perfect.  Nine days old and six pounds of sweetness with a touch of sass.  I cannot get over how tiny her little nose is.

Roni came to my studio today and we had a wonderful session. She slept, posed and peed (twice on me and once on my lovely assistant) and she was so cute I didn’t even care! =)  And today I did something new to me, I took Roni outside for a couple of shots.  The weather was perfect and she loved the fresh air.  Didn’t even mind being one with nature…watch out Tracy, lol.

And here’s Emily, Alex’s other half, ha!  She is just stunning.  I could have spent days photographing her (them).
